BIO 
HOUSE de LUX is a fashion design house based out of NYC. The company presented many collections and put up numerous fashion shows, or 'spectacles' as they were called. HOUSE de LUX fashion shows were not just about showing the latest collection; they were about freeing the spirit (ass) of everyone involved.
S (Sarah Hamady), the designer of HOUSE de LUX, studied briefly at F.I.T. but ended up getting a Ph.D. in Philosphy at Columbia University. Dissatisfied being a philosophy professor, she became a DJ, playing in New York City nightclubs. It was during this time that she reinterpreted her hero, George Clinton's maxim: Free your mind and your ass wil follow."
S said, "Free your ass and your mind will follow!"
As she saw it, freeing your mind is nearly impossible while freeing your ass - by dancing OR by wearing funked out, super stylin' clothes - was not only possible but worlds more fun.
Thus, S created HOUSE de LUX, a clothing line inspired by the philosophy that fashion and style is a means to liberation through personal self expression.
HOUSE de LUX went on to make custom designs for many celebrities, including George Clinton.
